Arc Wellness FAQ

  • At your first visit, you’ll complete a brief intake form about your health history and goals. We’ll discuss your needs and create a personalized treatment plan. After a treatment plan has been agreed on we will begin our session.

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations with less notice may be charged a fee, and no-shows are charged in full.

  • Gratuities are never required, but they are appreciated if you feel you’ve received excellent service. Any gratuities received help grow our business and fund need based discounts for other individuals.

  • Always inform your practitioner about any injuries, pain, or medical conditions. So they can adjust treatments to keep you safe. In some cases, medical clearance from your doctor may be required before starting. We will always meet you where you are at.

  • At this time we are not authorized to bill thorough insurance directly. Payment is due at time of service. Some insurance plans cover massage therapy with a doctor’s prescription or referral. Please check with your insurance provider to confirm coverage and we can provide receipts for reimbursement if applicable.

  • Yes, massage, exercise and yoga during pregnancy can be safe and very beneficial. We use pregnancy-safe positioning, movements, and techniques. Please let us know if you are pregnant or trying to conceive, physicians’ approval may be required prior to treatment.

  • There is no standard or typical treatment. Each session should be personalized based on your wellness goals and needs as a client.

    • Massage: relaxation, less tension, or mild soreness (24–48 hrs).

    • Training: muscle soreness and strength improvements over time.

    • Yoga: greater mobility, relaxation, and gradual improvements in balance and flexibility.

  • Massage therapy, exercise and yoga is for everyone, regardless of body type, size, or condition. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment. You always retain bodily autonomy

  • Yes, all services are available to minors with signed parental/guardian consent. Depending on age, a parent or guardian may be required to remain present.

Bodywork FAQ

  • You should undress to your level of comfort. Some clients undress completely, while others leave on undergarments or clothing. There is no right way and emphasis should be placed on your comfort. You will always be properly draped with sheets, if not clothed, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. Clients who are receiving work on the mat will remain clothed and should come prepared in comfortable, athletic attire.

  • Massage should never be painful. Some techniques (such as deep tissue or trigger point work) may create mild discomfort, but work should always be done within your window of tolerance. Please let your practitioner know immediately if you feel pain or are uncomfortable with the technique being used. 

  • Massage can help reduce stress, relieve muscle tension and pain, improve circulation, support recovery from injury, enhance flexibility, and promote overall wellbeing.

Personal Training FAQs

  • Not at all! Personal training is designed for people at all fitness levels. Whether you’re brand new to exercise or an experienced athlete, we’ll meet you where you are and help you progress safely.

  • We’ll set measurable goals and may track progress through movement quality, strength gains, body composition, or lifestyle markers like energy and consistency, depending on your individual goals.

  • It’s completely natural to be nervous at the start of a new journey, and we are here to help you feel comfortable and supported. Sessions are focused on learning, growth, and celebrating progress, not perfection.

Yoga FAQs

  • No, yoga meets you where you are. Flexibility, strength, and balance improve with practice.

  • Heavily influenced by vinyasa, hatha and yin yoga styles but tailored to your unique goals for practice.

  • Yes! Yoga classes can be intimidating for many, especially those newer on their yoga journey. Private or small group classes are an excellent place to start as you begin to get more comfortable with your practice.
